Modern bow house with style – perfectly adapted to the environment
A curved steel roof rises from a grassy hill in East Hampton, New York. This original bow house was created by Studio Maziar Behrooz Architecture for a proud owner – a couple and their two dogs. The total area is 595 square meters.
The industrial appeal of the building is in harmony with the environment – above the house run a trajectory and a railway track.
The real challenge for the architects was finding the right scale for the arch. The main task was to make the house a private, sheltered retreat. In the end, a successful home emerged – cozy and generous at the same time. While the upper part of the arch houses the kitchen, dining and living area in an open plan, the work, living room and garage are on the ground floor.
The Bogenhaus is an architectural gem. Elegant and simple, multifunctional and minimalist in design, this modern building is an original home.
