An Australian house design – determined by nature and dynamic

The captivating home near Melbourne in this illustration is ideally suited to the family’s original mission. They wanted a simple, rectangular apartment, which inside made for wide, light-filled premises.

The house was designed by Robson Rak Architects.

As a result, they have a house that disappears into the landscape, emphasizing the beauty of the surroundings as their own architectural features.

The house at a glance:

Ein Paar und deren zwei Kinder. Who lives here: a couple and their two children.

Two very high windows on both sides provide a very nice view.

The bedroom of the parents is exactly in the axis. The rest of the house extends to the right.

The side with the pool gains a deep insight into the forest through the thin trees.

The internal division into three house zones goes back to the function of the premises. The part of the parents has a closet at the entrance, bedroom with private bathroom and a study.

The idea of maximum use of natural materials can be felt everywhere in the home.

The architects have designed the lower floor for the children. It has two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a second living area directly above the pool and the pergola.

A glass surface framed the swimming pool from three sides. This testifies to an infinity equipment in a southerly direction

In the last picture you can see an outdoor terrace and from there you can enjoy most of the forest views. It has created the design with the idea for a lot of entertainment that will take place here.

Do you recognize the main idea behind this design? This is the search for harmony with nature. This is achieved through intricately thought out, yet seemingly simple architecture. Do you agree?
